  2. Harjavalta is situated along the railroad Tampere-Pori.

  4. The total area of Harjavalta is 128 sq.km. At the beginning of 2009 there were about 7600 inhabitants in Harjavalta.

  5. Harjavalta is known as a town of work, enterprise and high standard of living. Large industrial plants, hospitals and several small-scale enterprises provide a livelihood for many Harjavalta inhabitants.

  10. Harjavalta is also known as one of the major school towns in the heart of Satakunta region. The town offers its inhabitants an opportunity and facilities to lifelong learning.

  11. The most popular cultural attraction is the Emil Cedercreutz museum and culture centre, which consists of Harjula (the artist´summer residence), the Temple of the Rural Spirit and an art museum. Photo: Pasi Annala
