  2. Hiding Places • Most Jews hid in attics, cellars or barns. • Most families couldn’t all hide in one place.

  3. Hiding children • Some children could live with another family. • Orphanages and churches would take in the children.

  4. Bunkers • Hiding places within areas where only Jews could live. • Many were quickly discovered.

  5. The Hiders • Most only hid Jews they knew before the war. • Some only hid them for money.

  6. Communication • Most could only get food and news at night. • Some could not speak for several days and could only get news when it was urgent.
