  7. The Healing power of nature • Our bodies have an innate ability to heal on their own, given the right tools. • Improving the quality of food choices, providing nutrients that our body needs to not only function, but function at it's best.

  8. Identify and treat the cause • Treating the cause of a diseased state instead of treating the symptoms of a diseased state.  • Always asking “why?” • Chronic sinus infections • Anemia

  9. First do no harm • least invasive treatments to minimize risk and use the least amount of intervention  • Individualized treatment plans per patient, avoiding cookbook treatments • Do our best not to suppress symptoms • Fever, eczema

  10. Doctor as Teacher • We spend a lot of time educating patients – • What is happening in their body • Teaching them healthier lifestyles • Letting them know why we make specific recommendations

  11. Treat the whole person •  Illness comes from imbalances on multiple levels (physical, spiritual, emotional, social, and environmental)

  12. Prevention  • Prevention and wellness is key to achieving and maintaining optimal health. • Evaluate personal and family history as well as vulnerability to achieve better health.
