  2. Tuition Increase • At the November 6th meeting, the Board of Regents approved a 1.93% CPI (Consumer Price Index) tuition increase effective Fall 2015 for students not currently on Guaranteed Tuition Plan.

  3. Impact on YOUR Fees & Tuition • NONE—all current students have guaranteed tuition and fees • The proposed fee increases would affect only students enrolling in fall 2015 as first-time freshmen or graduate students.

  4. Student Referendum Process for Proposed Fee Increases • SGA Resolution calling for Student Referendum unanimously passed October 21, 2014 • Resolution calls for students to vote on November 19 & 20, 2014 regarding proposed increases in Recreational Sports Fee and Athletic Fee

  5. What are the proposed fee increases? Recreational Sports Fee Proposal Increase the Recreational Sports Fee from $25 per semester ($12.50 for summer semesters) to $100 per semester($50.00 per summer semester) Athletic Fee Proposal Increase the Athletic Fee by 10% per credit hour from $9 to $9.90 with a cap at 12 semester credit hours. This would result in a maximum of an additional $10.80/semester.

  6. Why are fee increases proposed? Provide a vibrant campus life and enhance student engagement by Creating a Student Recreation Center to provide space for student recreation, campus events, student meetings, and athletic events/amenities Continuing to develop a viable and competitive varsity athletic program for the university
