A cover letter which includes the following information: Specific facts about your educational career goals Statement concerning your need for a WY NGA Scholarship Identification of awards, honors, extracurricular activities, & organizations in which you have participated. 2. One (1) Letter of Academic Reference pertaining to you scholastic ability 3. One (1) Letter of Reference 4. One (1) Official copy (Not a Student Copy) of your most recent transcript (College or High School) INFORMATION Eligibility: WY NGA Scholarship applicants must be either, an Enlisted or Officer Member of the WY NGA, or an immediate family member of a WY NGA Member (Spouse or unmarried child) Scholarship Amounts: Historically awarded in the amount of $500.00, but is determined annually by the Association based upon availability of funds. There are specific scholarships for member, spouses & children. Deadline for Submissions: August 30th of each calendar year. 3. Information Continued The WY NGA Scholarship Program is cooperative in nature. The Association funds one half, and a sponsoring individual, business, or organization sponsors the other half. The number of scholarships available each year may vary depending upon financial support and budgetary limitations. The following scholarships may be awarded by the WY NGA, dependent upon submissions, and financial limitations: MG Charles J. Wing Family Program Scholarship (2) $500.00 WY Army National Guard Combined Club Scholarship $500.00 Bev Holmes Appreciation & Service Award Scholarship $500.00 F.E. Warren AFB Federal Credit Union Scholarship $500.00 USAA Insurance Company Scholarship (2) $500.00 WY NG Educational Endowment Fund Scholarship (2) $500.00 Mumm Ranch Scholarship (1) $500.00 A person may only receive one scholarship through the WY NGA each year. The goal of the Scholarship Committee is to distribute scholarships no later than September 15th The scholarship award will be sent directly to the college financial aid office. Membership in the WY NGA, is required to compete for their respective scholar- ships. A membership application is attached. Ensure that you carefully read the requirements for applying.
