Accredited Standards Committee C63® - EMC SC2 Scope • Scope Unchanged • E3 Terminology Definitions • Subcommittee 2 is responsible for developing, updating, and/or modifying definitions and terminology related to electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) including electromagnetic environmental effects (E3).  The subcommittee will also recommend and/or consider definitions for ratification and harmonization with the U.S. military and international standardization bodies as needed. The subcommittee will maintain ANSI ASC C63.14, “American National Standard, Dictionary of Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) including Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3).”

Accredited Standards Committee C63® - EMC C63 Newsletter Input ASC C63® Subcommittee 2 (SC2), “E3 Terminology Definitions,” continued work focused on developing, harmonizing, and documenting new and emerging definitions and terminology referenced in ASC C63®, U.S. Department of Defense, and International E3/EMC standardization documents. The ASC C63 SC2 WG1 is currently adjudicating 18 new definitions for inclusion into the draft ANSI C63.14. The publication schedule for the draft was discussed and agreed to by the subcommittee. No new definitions will be accepted for inclusion into the draft after August 2013. The update and maintenance of ANSI C63.14 is on schedule to meet its 5-year review cycle and for publication in August 2014.
