Engines A Guide and Information By: Kathryn Rieb
My big Question is…………………. How do engines operate by themselves?
The answer to my question is……………… The force of the engine combustion is what gives an engine its power. The engine pistons, connected to the engine crankshaft, which is in turn connected to the driveshaft of a vehicle, are thrust downward inside the engine with violent force. This occurs each time the air and fuel mixture is ignited. As the pistons are thrust downward, the force of the engine combustion is transferred through the engine crankshaft, the driveshaft and ultimately to the wheels of the vehicle. I got this from: http://www.ehow.com/howdoes_4597373_an-engine-work.html
Combustion Combustion means: The act or process of burning.
Who made the first engine? What was it used for? Where did he/she make it? When did he/she make it? Why did he/she make it? In 1543 Blasco de Garay is reputed to have used a primitive steam machine to move a ship in the port of Barcelonaas the first attempt to power a ship by steam was made.
Thank you for watching my PowerPoint on ‘Engines, a guide and information”. I hope you learned something!
