Legend has it that in 810 year, after a long time wandering apart, the sons of Polish Prince Leszko III: Bolko, Leszko and Cieszko met here and founded the town, to express their great joy at their reunion. Town's attraction is the Studnia Trzech Braci (Three Brothers Well), which commemorates the legend of Cieszyn's foundation. (on the picture)
Near the well is a picturesque part of Cieszyn called „Cieszyn Venice”.

The Lutheran Church of Jesus was biult at the beginning of the 18th century in late Baroque style. Its interior is graced by an opulent altarpiece, pulpit and organ. It is the largest Lutheran church in Poland. It can hold around 6,000 (3,500 seated).In contains the Tschammer Library and Archives and Museum of Protestantism. The Library is the largest and most important Lutheran library in Poland.
On The Castle Hill is the 29 – metre Piast Tower, dating from the 14th century, is a superb viewing point over the town and the Silesian Beskid.
The opulent Cieszyn Theatre graces plac Teatralny. It was built in 1910 in Viennese neo-Baroque style. It has a revolving scene and a three-tier auditorium, seating 630.
