People who are married are healthier, less likely to have problems with alcohol, have lower rates of suicide, have lower rates for mental illness, enjoy greater longevity, are much less likely to be unfaithful, and are more financially secure than people who cohabit. Rather than proving a test run for marriage, living together proves to be a test run more often for eventual loneliness and misery.

Colossians 3:19… Husbands, love your wives, and do not be embittered against them.

  10. 1 Peter 3:7… You husbands likewise, live with your wives in an understanding way, as with a weaker vessel, since she is a woman; and grant her honor as a fellow heir of the grace of life, so that your prayers may not be hindered. ASSERTING AUTHORITY AND DEMANDING OBEDIENCE are not the same thing.

Titus 2:5… being subject to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be dishonored.
