Therefore, before you start installing polycarbonate sheets or lexan modular panel, equip yourself with the most appropriate safety gear. It would include a safety harness, gloves, ideal footwear, scaffold and protective eyewear. Cutting or drilling polycarbonate is easy and it doesn’t really pose any harm to the body but still being safe is important.

  3. Determine the UV Protected Side You should know that lexan modular panel or the polycarbonates sheets have only one UV protected side. This means you are supposed to install that very side facing the sun and not the other side. Therefore, determine which side is UV protected before finally installing the sheet. To do the same is quite easy, as these sheets come with a sticker marking on the UV protected side. In case you install the sheet other way around, it would soon show marks of discolouration. Additionally, the overall lifespan of the sheets and panels would also shorten.
