  1. Brittany Heckler I am from Lansdale, Pennsylvania. I graduated from North Penn High School in June 2010. Currently, I am a freshman at Penn State and am majoring in mechanical engineering. During the Summer of 2010, I participated in a Women in Engineering Program Orientation (WEPO). At the program, I was able to use SolidWorks, create my resume, complete a design project as the project manager, and gain many other leadership skills. I also went to a networking dinner at the Nittany Lion Inn with many other engineering professionals. During my time at Penn State, I hope to study abroad, intern or co-op with a company. In addition to WEP, I plan on rushing for the engineering sorority, Phi Sigma Rho, and exploring many other organizations at Penn State. In my free time, I enjoy dancing and snowboarding. I was on my High School’s dance team and also a captain of New Dance Workshop’s Jazz and Hip Hop companies. I was a co-chair for the Special Olympics of Montgomery County, PA which took place in April 2009 and May 2010. I hope to expand my leadership skills during my academic career at PSU.
