The Hunt for the Gingerbread Man Mrs. Taylor and Ms. Posterick’s Class August 2012
We read the story of the Gingerbread Man. Mrs. Taylor made funny voices to make it more interesting. We got to read part of the story, too!
Mrs. Taylor said she caught a Gingerbread Man and we anxiously waited to see what he looked like. As she opened the folder, we saw that he was missing! Oh no!
We decided to try some other places. So we went to see the front office. He had been there, but we just missed him. We followed his clues to the principal’s office and then to the cafeteria. Each time, he left a clue he said, “Run, run as fast as you can. You can’t catch me. I’m the Gingerbread Man!
The counselor, Mrs. Baker had the same message as everyone else. Then we headed to the library to see if he was reading books. Instead we found some crumbs and a band-aid wrapper, so we decided he must have needed the nurse. He just kept running!
We even checked the workroom, but we couldn’t find him anywhere. So we headed back to our room. When we got there, we found a big surprise. Our Gingerbread Man was there on Mrs. Taylor’s chair with enough copies for everyone! We finally found him!
