Today, Karen DeSoto is a well-known name in the legal industry, and many of us want to know more about her career and the initiatives that she has been taking. • A lifelong resident of New Jersey, Karen is an alumnus of Rutgers University, and the Beasley School of Law (Temple University) where she received a Juris Doctorate and Masters of Law Degree in Trial Advocacy. http://karendesoto.info

She started her journey in the legal world as a public defender, then she served as a prosecutor, and later as a lawyer in private practice before founding the Center For Justice located in Jersey City, NJ • She also served as the Assistant Corporation Counsel for the city of Jersey City, till 2001, after which she was promoted to Corporate Counsel. • Her love for law can be ascertained with the fact that she is the co-founder and co-director of the Institute For Dispute Resolution — at the business school of New Jersey City University (Jersey City, NJ) http://karendesoto.info
