  3. program process • Supporting Documents required: • boiler invoice within one month of installation • copy of contractors gas permit • BC Safety Authority Certificate • of Inspection (if applicable) • manufacturer’s start-up report • FortisBC start up report • copy of combustion efficiency analysis test results Efficient Boiler Program Consultant/ contractor determines capacity of space heating plant Applicant submits completed application, heat loss calculations and invoice FortisBC approves or declines application Applicant purchases & installs boiler within 12 months Final incentive amount is calculated and paid Applicant submits required supporting documentation*

Incentive – New Construction • condensing boilers only • under 299MBH – Energy Star • over 300MBH – equipment list • near condensing boilers no longer qualify for incentives • incentive based on quantity, size and type of boiler • condensing boiler: $12 per MBH Efficient Boiler Program – New & Improved!! Incentive – Retrofit • near condensing or condensing boilers • incentive based on quantity, size and type of boiler • condensing boiler: $12 per MBH • near condensing boiler: $4per MBH

  6. Heat Loss Incentive – Retrofit Only • Up to $500 for boilers systems with an input rating up to 1,500 MBH. • Up to $1,000 for boiler systems with an input rating of 1,500 MBH or higher Efficient Boiler Program – New & Improved!!

Application Process Efficient Boiler Program – New & Improved!! • Purchase & install • must be Energy Star or chosen from eligible equipment list • certified gas installer • Submit* • FortisBC application form • Invoice • Gas Notification of Completion, Installation or Alteration” • 60 DAYS! • Receive cheque • mailed to account holder or developer • turn around within 90 days

Incentive • water heaters offering efficiencies up to 95% • incentive based on quantity, size and type of boiler • storage or hot water supply boiler (90%+): $5 per MBH • storage or hot water supply boiler (84%-89.9%): $3 per MBH • on-demand (90%+): $2.50 per MBH Efficient Commercial Water Heater Program Customer type • commercial kitchens • multi-family residential buildings • hotels/ motels • laundry facilities • educational facilities • …list is endless!!

Application Process Efficient Commercial Water Heater Program • Submit* • FortisBC application form • proof of purchase • contractors gas permit • Purchase & install • must be on eligible equipment list • certified gas installer *within 90 days of installation • Receive cheque • mailed to account holder or developer • turn around within 90 days
