  2. What is Party Book? A way to unleash your inner party planner! • The concept is simple: • Each coordinator asks friends and/or volunteers in their community to commit to throwing one party • Reasons Why: • Fundraise for a good cause • Easy to plan, and lots of fun!

  3. What is Party Book contd. • Each volunteer is considered a ‘Party Book Host’ (or co-host if done with a friend) • 100% of funds raised go to Kidsave • Each Party Book host will: • Plan the party • Underwrite the cost • Invite their friends to attend

  4. Parties Can be Hosted Anywhere • In someone’s home • In an outdoor space (i.e. park, beach) • A restaurant • A business (i.e. art gallery, cooking school)

  5. Who Are Parties Geared For? • Parties can be for adults, singles, couples, teens, or children • Parties can be simple or elaborate, inexpensive or upscale, and can be hosted by one family or a combination of families

  7. Easy to plan, but….. GOALS are NECESSARY! • In the first year, 6 parties per city is the goal, with an objective of reaching one per month! • The goal is to raise between $1500-$5000 dollars per party, which generally means that attendees will pay $25 - $125 to attend a party.

  8. Party Book Guidelines • HAVE FUN! • We want the host to enjoy the process of planning the party and having their friends over for some fun. • BE THRIFTY • The host should work to get products/services donated or at a reduced cost • THE COST • Money raised at the event should exceed the cost of the event (preferably by a significant amount!)

  9. PLANNING YOUR PARTY • The coordinator works with the Party Host to create the concept, choose a date, etc. • The coordinator checks with Kidsave to see if there is an existing relationship with the vendor. • Coordinator provides party information to Kidsave to enter on Party Book site. • The party host sends an email or invitation with sign up link to his/her social network • Party guests register on site using easy Pay Pal option • Party hosts can view site to check how many people have registered for their party • Using the Party Book website is easy!

  10. PARTY BOOK LAUNCH! • Parties will ideally be planned and entered by November 10 for a November 17 launch for National Adoption Day!

  12. Get Your Community Involved! If you have people in the community looking to volunteer in some way, this can be a wonderful way for them to help. The goal is to engage people who are not otherwise donating and to provide some education about Kidsave in the process.
