Digital Deficit Ethical Deficit: Cyber bullying & abuse Cognitive / Reflective Deficit:Diminishing attention span, reading replaced by sound and images or truncated text Psychological / Cultural Deficit:Isolation, loneliness, anxiety, depression, difficulty forming close and enduring relationships, insularity Civic Deficit:Ceaseless flow of messages and experiences at the flick of a switch, or just a click dispersed connectedness / dispersed consciousness difficulty relating to the wider society and todays’ complex challenges Democratic Deficit: Pervasive state and corporate surveillance

  4. We have moved to a society in which we are forced to live our lives naked before power. Edward Snowden from his book Permanent Record published today 17/09/2019 He goes on to call for legislative reform and increased use of end-to-end encryption to protect emails, chat and other communications.
