  2. Ephesians 5:22-24 22 Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. 23 For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body.24 Therefore, just as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything. NKJV

  3. Ephesians 5:22 22 Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. NKJV #The call for WIVES is to submit to your OWN husbands. # Submission is a RESPONSE to love. Romans 2:4 #We submit to God in FAITH and TRUST. # It is not the husband’s role to enforce submission neither is it the wife’s role to enforce love.

  4. Ephesians 5:23 23For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body. NKJV 1 Corinthians 11:3 3 But I want you to know that the head of every man is Christ, the head of woman is man, and the head of Christ is God. NKJV

  5. #There is a HIERARCHY in God’s kingdom. God – Christ – Man - Wife. #It is about MANAGEMENT. It has nothing to do with ability or identity. It is about role not a person e.g the Trinity (God the Father, Son & Holy Spirit), employer-employee.

  6. Genesis 2:18 And the Lord God said, “It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him” NKJV # By design the wife is created as a HELPER. # The spirit of God is described as a HELPER to us. John 16:7 #If the wife is a HELPER, what is she helping with. What is the VISION for our family?

  7. Ephesians 5:24 24Therefore, just as the church is subject to Christ, so letthe wivesbeto their own husbands in everything. NKJV # The church is SUBJECT TO CHRIST as a RESPONSE TO HIS LOVE. #SUBMISSION should be OUT OF LOVE not fear.

  8. SUBMISSION IS NOT: #A wife being INFERIOR #The DEATH of a wife’s IDENTITY, ABILITY AND CREATIVE ENERGY. Proverbs 31 # A wife being MUZZLED. God has given the wife as a helper. Proverbs 31:26, Genesis 2:18 # A wife accepting ABUSE…verbal, spiritual, physical, emotional, financial, sexual. # A wife FOLLOWING her husband INTO SIN. Acts 5:29, Colossians 3:18

  9. SUBMISSION IS: #An ATTITUDE and ACT OF OBEDIENCE to the Lord Jesus Christ. Colossians 3:18, Ephesians 5:22 #HONOURING and AFFIRMING a husband’s authority. # SUPPORTING your husband to fulfill your family’s FULL POTENTIALe.g being dependable & trustworthy (Proverbs 31: 11-12), showing confidence in his decisions…being a HELPER. # A wife DELIGHTING in her HUSBAND’S LOVE for her.

  10. HIS NEEDS HER NEEDS Dr. Willard F. Harley Jr HIS Top Five Needs: Sexual fulfilment Recreational Companionship An attractive Spouse Domestic Support Admiration #This is based on years of study and counseling. #This is NOT the case with every husband. Your spouse is unique and may not follow this pattern.

  11. 1 Peter 3: 1-6 Wives, likewise, be submissive to your own husbands, that even if some do not obey the word, they, without a word, may be won by the conduct of their wives, 2 when they observe your chaste conduct accompanied by fear. 3 Do not let your adornment be merely outward — arranging the hair, wearing gold, or putting on fine apparel —

  12. 1 Peter 3: 1-6 4 rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God. 5 For in this manner, in former times, the holy women who trusted in God also adorned themselves, being submissive to their own husbands, 6 as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord, whose daughters you are if you do good and are not afraid with any terror. NKJV

  13. # Wives are called to submit to their husbands. #Your submissive conduct can win over your husband to God. # Wives, trust God for your marriage. # Wives, put more emphasis on your inner beauty rather than your outside appearance. Your inner beauty should exceed your outer beauty (which should be awesome)
