Enhanced Security At Testing Sites in 2014 • Deployment of Lockdown Shell • Publishing exams with a Lockdown Shell • Prevents candidates from accessing any applications or websites while taking the test • Prevents the use of remote desktop applications • The lockdown shell needs to be downloaded onto each testing computer • Active only when exams are being administered • Inactive otherwise • New Contracts Required Before Testing Will Occur • Site representatives will be contacted by Prometric with additional information • DocuSign will be utilized to expedite the process • Meeting with operations on 2/10/2014 to determine opportune time to implement (before or after Peak)
Important Updates in Requesting In-Facility Testing Events • All sites are now required to use the Event Application Cover Letterlocated on the Prometric website, when mailing candidate applications and test fees to Prometric. This will assist when placing candidates to their requested testing dates. • All IFT Event Requests will no longer be accepted by fax and all dates must be requested using the approved Prometric IFT Event Request Form, located on the Prometric website. In order for Prometric to process the request, the form must be completed accurately and in its entirety. • Please submit all forms by mail to: • Prometric, Attn: NY NA IFT Processing; 7941 Corporate Drive, Nottingham, MD 21236 • Contact Information: • Urgent issues/inquiries: 866-241-3116 option 2, option 1, option 2 • Non-Urgent requests/ inquiries: nycnasupport@prometric.com • Missing information on candidate application, please have the candidate call 866-241-3116 option 1 and respond to prompts.
In-Facility Updates • Tips for properly completing the IFT Event Request form • A separate IFT Event Request form must be submitted for each test date your facility is requesting. • 3 test date options must be provided to Prometric, including the preferred date and two alternative dates. • Provide the Prometric issued site code for the IFT site you are requesting to test at. • The IFT Event Request form must arrive 10 business days or greater in advance of the requested event date. • **Note**If the Event Request form arrives within 10 business days of the requested event, another IFT Event Request form must be submitted.
In-Facility Updates • Moving a candidate • All candidate applications must arrive 10 days prior to an event. • Prometric recommends that you use UPS or another private delivery provider. USPS may cause a delay in the receipt of your paperwork. • If a candidate needs to move to a sooner testing date and the application arrived in the appropriate timeline, you may add the candidate to an event up to five Business days prior to the exam. • If you have sent in all the applications for an event but you need to add an additional candidate. You may send the candidate application and payment to Prometric to be added to the testing date. The application must arrive 10 days prior to the testing date and include with the application a copy of the date request form so registration and scheduling knows what site and date to schedule the candidate into. Otherwise, the candidate risks being scheduled regionally or on another upcoming In-Facility test date. • Any cancellations that occur must be done at least five business days before testing. Cancellations must be made by calling the Prometric Candidate Services at 1-866-241-3116, then option 1 for Candidates • Exceptions to this would be in the event a candidate has a medical or family emergency. However, the candidate will need to provide proof of hardship to cancel and reschedule without penalty of fees.
