Obtaining New Directory Structure • ITD Project Builder Utility • ITD Project Manager can provide Directory to Consultant at Project Onset • Project Manager can request Directory from CADD Primary Operator • Project Builder includes InRoads resource files, border sheets, MicroStation resource files • Consultant can submit entire directory upon completion of design

New Naming Conventions • File Names • Name includes discipline name, drawing type, other designators • New naming conventions for InRoads elements designate element types or alignment relationships • Naming Conventions are subject to change as we gain experience • Readme files available on ITD Website – Doing business with ITD/CADD • Decisions need to be made regarding how to convey changes to consultants
Cell Libraries and Symbology • Each discipline has a cell library • Cell Libraires Completed to Date • Topography, Right_of_Way, Materials, Utilities, Roadway • Single Symbology Table for all lines styles • Topography, Right_of_Way, Materials, Utilities, Roadway • Available on ITD Web site – Doing Business with ITD • New Libraries will be added as completed
Long Term Plans CADD Standards tools • NetSPEX Will be delivered to consultants at no charge • Web access to most current ITD Standards • ITD and Consultants access same standards server • May be developed for both MicroStation and AutoCAD • InRoads • May become a required deliverable file • May be used to locate utilities inside R/W • On-Line Bidding Packages • May require added software for plan set deliveries
