City of Winslow • Winslow Levee • Little Colorado River Feasibility Study • The study was started in 2008, a 50/50 cost share study between Navajo County and Army Corps of Engineers, with a cost estimated at $5.7 million. • Completion date scheduled for 2014. • Once the Feasibility Study is complete the Engineering and Construction phase will follow.

  4. Town of Snowflake • Southern Solution Detention Basin: • Navajo County Flood Control District contributed $600,000 for the design and construction costs for this project over the past 8 years.

  5. Town of Snowflake • Snowflake Academy Building: • Future home of the Snowflake Library • New steps and handicap accessible ramp • Sprinkler system and finishes inside the building • Install elevator new elevator

  6. Planning to Share the Sandbox • Are there criteria that we analyze (formally or informally) before we take real steps?  • How do we make room in our budgets to play in the sandbox? • Grants - Do we partner enough? • How do we get more sand in the sandbox?

Town of Taylor • Taylor Detention Basin: • IGA was approved by the Board of Supervisors for the expenditure of Navajo County Flood Control funds for 50% of the design and construction costs not to exceed $125,000. • Freeman Hollow Road Double Chip Seal: • Double chip sealed a 1 mile section of Freeman Hollow Road within the Town Limits.

City of Show Low • Deuce of Clubs and 9th Place (Traffic Signal): • Contributed $85,900 towards the construction costs of an ADOT traffic signal • Downtown Rehabilitation Project: • Navajo County partnered with the City to 9th Street and Hall street improvements and handicap accessible ramps • Frontier Park Field and Parking Lot: • Navajo County partnered with the City by providing the grading plans for the soccer fields and paved parking lot. Navajo County forces then paved the parking lot

  9. Town of Pinetop - Lakeside • Pinetop Senior Center Parking Lot: • Graded the existing parking and provided a Double Chip Seal surface. • Provided parking lot striping. Project funded by CDBG Grant Funds. • Porter Mountain Road Multi-Use Path • Grubbing & over excavation, placement of fill, hauling and placement of asphalt millings, applications of oil and sand on the millings, and placement of both signs and pavement markings • June-July 2013

  10. Town of Pinetop - Lakeside • Police Department Impound Lot Fencing: • 6 ft. high chain link fence • Two 24 ft. drive through gates • Two 4 ft. man gates • One electronic rolling gate with electronic controller.

Navajo NationRed Dog Graveling Project – Phase II • Partnership Team: • Navajo County, PWCC, BIA and Navajo DOT. • Navajo County: • Navajo County contracted to crush an 40,000 tons of red dog material for Phase II. • Navajo County has provided two Road Maintenance Equipment Operators and two Water Trucks. • FY 2013 Cost Share: • $100,000 Chapters (10,000 each Chapter) • $194,000 Navajo County • $350,000 NDOT/Navajo Nation • $231,000 Fuel/ Peabody Phase II – Placement of Red Dog Material in the Low Mountain Community.

Heavy Equipment Operator Certification Training Course: • Training was undertaken at the NDOT Dilkon Road Yard. • Provided a motor grader blade, a 10-wheeler and a backhoe. • Chapters provided two (2) operators each for training.   14. White Mountain Apache Tribe • School Bus Stop: • Navajo County coordinated with Hon- Dah Management, WMAT Transportation Department, Blue Ridge School District and the Community President to construct a bus stop at the Hon Dah ski rental shop parking lot.

  15. White Mountain Apache Tribe • McNary Library: Navajo County partnered with the White Mountain Apache Tribe and the State Library to install a 16’ X 56’ (875 square foot) library.
