Looker in a Nutshell What is Looker? Online Tool that provides current membership information Who has Access? SU Manager, SU Registrar and SU Cookie Manager (must have current membership in these roles and background checked) Whose information you can see? Only your Service Unit information
What information can you see? Four Reports: Full Service Unit Roster Reports • See your assigned Service Unit(s) Roster Troop Details • See details on a specific troop in your assigned service unit Membership Analysis • Compare this year’s and last year’s membership in your assigned service unit New in the Last Two Weeks • See new girls and adults who joined in the last two weeks
Full Roster Report • Members in your SU • Membership type • Troop, position, contact information, Background check status • Information for 2019 and 2020
Membership Analysis Report • Numbers of Girls, Adults, Active Troops in your SU • Members by Type (YOY) • Troops with at least one member (YOY) • Members by grade • Number of volunteers according to their positions
New In Last Two Weeks Report • Who joined last 2 weeks • Their membership type, positions, troop, contact informations, school, grade
Troop Details Report • Troop Grade • Meeting Days • Meeting Time and frequency • Meeting Location • Girls in the troop • Numbers of openings in Troop • Display in opportunity catalog
Looker Access Privileges & Responsibilities • As an approved Administrative Volunteer, you have access to personal data from Girl Scout members in your area to help you better fulfill your volunteer role. • Treat personal data with care. How would you want your personal information treated? • Personal data should not be downloaded or shared with unapproved volunteers, or with outside individuals or organizations. Refer such requests to your council for processing.
How to log in? • You should receive (or may have already received) an email from your council inviting you to create a username and password to access Looker. • No email or can't access Looker? Contact your council's customer care or helpdesk. (check your local website for a link!) • Log in and practice accessing the reports available for your service unit. • Compare the current membership data with previous year's information and think about how you can leverage this information to boost recruitment, provide great events, or encourage girls to stay involved in Girl Scouting over time
