  4. FNC History • First conference held in Orlando in 1997 • Each year a local government sponsors • Provides opportunities • Local governments to share best practices • Neighborhood leaders to learn from experts • Networking, training and education

Sponsorship Proposal • Orange County to sponsor 2014 • State conference in lieu of local conference • Responsibilities: • Oversee facility rental • Prepare marketing material and program • Seek and receive sponsorship donations • Provide volunteers to assist • Plan mobile tours to showcase community • Host welcome reception, social event and awards breakfast

Budget • 2012 Conference - $25K • Local contribution $5K • Most of cost covered by corporate sponsors • Other local governments contribute as well • FNC, Inc. covered unexpected costs • Registration estimated at $50, $85 late, $5 tours • Estimating approximately $30K for 2014 • County to cover up front costs • Commensurate with cost of local conference

  9. Summary • FNC 2014 hosted by Orange County • July 2014, in lieu of local conference • Expected 400 attendees • Estimated budget $30K • County to recoup costs from sponsors and FNC
