  3. Didyouknow ? • In1877Thefirsthockeyruleswereinvented. • In 1888 The first Amateur league involved teams from Montreal, Ottawa and Quebec City. • Also in 1889 Fredrick Author donated a trophy to be the Dominion Hockey Challenge Cup. Also to be known as The Stanley Cup.

  4. How Does It Work? • There are two conferences, the Eastern Conference and The Western Conference. • There are 2 Defensemen, 3 Forwards and one goalie on the ice. • Most teams have four lines, three sets of Defensemen and two goalies. • There are fifteen teams in each conference.
