Taking Care of Business – S&L StyleAdvanced School & Library Training Internal EDC Procedures • If you are the EC with the district listing, forward all information on this opportunity to Randall and Todd. • If you are not the EC with the district listing, contact the EC who is. • If no one has the district listed, discuss with Todd.
Taking Care of Business – S&L StyleAdvanced School & Library Training Compliance with contract • All EC’s serving that district – whether on the district or individual school level – MUST comply with all terms of the contract, or they (and EDC) will be shut out of doing business in that district. • The EC listing the district is responsible for training all EC’s serving the individual schools in the particulars of that contract.

Taking Care of Business – S&L StyleAdvanced School & Library Training ILLINOIS STATE LEARNING STANDARDS There are 29 State Goals covering Math, Science, Social Studies, Foreign Language, Fine Arts, Physical Development and Health. Each Goal has 2-6 Learning Standards. Each Learning Standard has 1-6 Benchmarks per grade level.
Taking Care of Business – S&L StyleAdvanced School & Library Training ILLINOIS STATE LEARNING STANDARDS Science – State Goal 12: Understand the fundamental concepts, principles and interconnections of the life, physical and earth/space sciences. As a result of their schooling, students will be able to: Learning Standard A: Know and apply concepts that explain how living things function, adapt and change.

Late Elementary: • 12.A.2a – Describe simple life cycles of plants and animals and the similarities and differences in their offspring • 12.A.2b – Categorize features as either inherited or learned.

It creates a responsibility for the EC to mentor other EC’s including those not in the same group who have listed individual schools and libraries within the district.”EC Manual, Page 11 EDC listings policy “…If they are interested in Usborne books for their school or library and their school or library is already listed by another EC, you must contact the other EC who holds the listing by phone or email.” EC Manual, Page 12
