Student Election (not initiation) Election Process - measuring exemplary character • The Election Process • Elect eligible students • Measure against your election procedures • Interviews, community service, socials, etc. • Notify elected/rejected students • Elected students fill out catalog cards • Submit Report of Election to Headquarters (2-4 weeks before initiation) • www.tbp.org/Chapters • Submit Catalog Cards to Headquarters (2-4 weeks before initiation) • These cards become TBP official records - fill them out completely & correctly • Proceed with your electee calendar 12

Initiation • Receive written or verbal approval from Headquarters • Call 1-800-TAU-BETA if unsure • You can’t hold an initiation without approval • NO UNAPPROVED INITIATIONS!! • Hold the Initiation Ceremony • Invite Deans, faculty members, alumni that are Tau Bates • Give them a speaking role, if available • Include your District Director :-) • Submit Report of Final Action to Headquarters (immediately after initiation) • Submit copy of Roll Book Signatures to Headquarters (immediately after initiation) • Great job - you’ve successfully completed an initiation! 15
