Vase Requirements • Vase form will include body, neck and lip. • Build vase with coils, slabs, drape or a little of each. • After vase becomes leather hard you will cover with sculptured forms relating to your theme. Avoid cliches • Sculptured form must cover at least 75% of the surface of vase. Forms may project out as far as you like BUT any form thicker than an inch must be hollowed out. • Pattern must be created with these forms. • Vase will be made entirely of Red clay.When working in red clay you must cover EVERYTHING the red clay touches with a large sheet of paper-everything-table, slab rollers, cutting table, pounding table, etc. Red clay stains! • Bisque fire only.
