  2. Science Works is a hands-on science museum offering programs that support all ages from infants to retirees in the field of discovery, science, and learning.

  3. The Science Works Mission: The mission at Science Works is to inspire wonder and stimulate exploration through fun interactive science and the arts.

  4. Programs Offered: • Outreach to schools • Outreach to Educators • Field Trips • Telescope Lending Program • Senior Programs • Lectures • Birthday Parties

  5. Bring Your Students and Expect to Find: • Orientation - A brief meeting is held to go over schedules, procedures and expectations. • Exploration - Students and chaperones have an opportunity to familiarize themselves with the museum and explore the many exhibits at their own pace. • Team Investigations - Small groups of students rotate through specific exhibits where they conduct investigations, make observations, formulate questions, collect data, and so forth. • Discovery Lab - Students get a chance to develop their inquiry skills through laboratory investigations.  Typically, half the group is in the Discovery Lab while the other half is conducting the Team Investigations to ensure no more than 35 students in the lab.  Not available for groups over 70. • ScienceLive! - Science Works staff present a highly educational and entertaining demonstration in our theater.

Hours/Prices • ScienceWorks1500 East Main StAshland, OR 97520(541) 482-6767 • Special Hours: Closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day & New Years DayFall, Winter & Spring Hours: Wednesday through Sunday: 10am - 5pm   We are closed July 4th, Thanksgiving Day,  Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Years Day.  • Admission: $5.00 for kids ages 2-12; $7.50 for teens and adults; $5.00 for seniors 65+; Free for teachers with school ID
