Build the tallest tower out of straws that can hold a tennis ball for 2 minutes. Tallest tower gets an “A.” Shortest tower doesn’t get an “A.”
Rube Goldberg Device Students had to use materials from home to create a Rube Goldberg Device that will lift a flag 12-inches off the ground.
Ballistic Devices Create a “Ballistic Device” (Catapult) from materials from home that shoots a ping pong ball the furthest, the highest, and the hits the target!! Use Microsoft Excel to graph distance.
Mousetrap Cars Given a mousetrap, build a car out of any material that is the fastest and goes the furthest!!
Marble Sorter Use “Fischertechnik” pieces (like Legos) and “RoboPro” to create a computer program to build a machine that will sort marbles by color.
Example of the computer program that you create so that the “Marble Sorter” sorts the marbles automatically!! RoboPro
Build bridges out of toothpicks or basal wood that holds the greatest weight!! Bridges West Point Bridge Design Build a bridge on the computer that can hold a truck.
If you DON'T like to build stuff and work with others... Get out of this class!!
