Editing • You will be given short essay that contains a number of errors. • You must identify the errors andmatch them with the correct editing symbol. • There will be one point scored for each error you find and one point for matching it to the correct symbol. • There will be around 13-15 errors in the essay, but there is a maximum possible score of 20.
Practical • You will be given a general essay topic • You may choose to write either an explanatory or problem/solution essay For which you will: • Brainstorm ideas (for the whole essay) • Write a thesis statement • Write an introduction paragraph

Homework • Write the final draft of your explanatory essay. • Hand your portfolio (including first draft of P&S essay) on or before exam on Monday 22nd April
