  2. General Handling Guidelines • Avoid pressing down on belt from any direction. • Belt was designed to be in tension. • Belt was not designed to have weight on it. S Incorrect

  3. Pre-assembly / Cutting Correct • Cut off bundling string with scissors • Do not pull on belts to snap bundling string • Do not pile belts, to avoid twisting, crimping, or causing any permanent deformation in the belt R S Incorrect

  4. General Handling Guidelines Incorrect S • Avoid forcing belt to bend • Belt was designed to roll around pulleys. • Belt was not designed to be bent sharply. • Belt was not designed to be forced to twisted. R Correct Incorrect S

  5. Assembly • When removing belt from pile, take belt from the top to avoid pulling on belt within the pile. If this happens, defect might occur. Correct R Incorrect S

  6. Assembly • Belt should be stay away from any flange to prevent fuzz due to any rubbing. Incorrect Correct S R

  7. Other Handling Considerations • Do not cut belt or press belt across a sharp surface –this could cause damage and eventual belt breakage. • Do not expose belt to heat exceeding 70C. This could cause the urethane to soften & the reinforcement to pull out. • Do not expose belts to aggressive chemicals or standing water, or allow belts to remain wet. • Do not abrade belts or expose them to unnecessary friction.
