  1. PGL PGL Travel Ltd. is a company established in 1957 by Peter Gordon Lawrence, that's why it is PGL.

  2. When and where • The trip takes place from Monday 14th November to Friday 18th November • Children arrive on Monday 14th November at 12.45pm (art block) • We will be staying at Marchants Hill, Hindhead, Surrey.

  3. Which members of staff are going? • Miss Edwards/Miss McGreal • Miss Tamber/Miss Bal • Miss Gentle/Mr Judd • Miss Hazel Swap day - Wednesday

  4. What activities will the children take part in? • Aeroball • Giant Swing • Orienteering • Jacobs Ladder • Zip wire • Challenge course • Quad Biking • Power fan • Sensory Trail • Archery • Trapeze • Sports and Team games

  5. Timetable of the day • 8am – Breakfast • 9am- Activity 1 • 10.30am – Break • 10.45am- Activity 2 • 12.15pm – Hot lunch • 1.45pm – Activity 3 • 3.15pm – Break • 3.30pm – Activity 4 • 5.00pm – Supervised free time • 5.30pm – 7pm Evening meal • 7pm – 8.30pm Evening entertainment with Group leaders

  6. Evening Activities • After the evening meal the children will have the opportunity to visit the shop – they will get £1 a day (included in initial payment) • Evening activities are led by the PGL Group Leaders • Some of these activities include: • Wacky races • Robot • Disco • Campfire

  7. Bedrooms • Rooms are all ensuite • They are for groups of 5 to 6 • Separate rooms for girls and boys • Situated near adults • PGL staff are on night duty. Senior PGL staff member is on call. • Children will need to bring a sleeping bag and pillow

  8. Kit List Essentials • Sleeping bag and pillow • Small carry case (which the children can carry) • Warm clothing • Trousers/leggings – not jeans • Waterproof anorak • Gloves/scarf • Trainers/walking shoes including a spare pair (no wellington boots) • Black bags for wet clothes

  9. On the day of the trip • Children should arrive at 12.45pm with their luggage. The luggage should be labelled with the child’s name. • They should come to the art block to be registered. • If there is any medication it should be handed in to the adult, marked clearly with name and clear instructions. Please note only prescribed medication will be administered. • If your child needs an inhaler they will need to bring a spare one and they must keep it with them at all times. • Please make sure children have had travel sickness tablets before they arrive at school. • Children are not allowed any electrical items or mobile phones. • They can bring cameras, disposable cameras are best. Children will be responsible for the camera.

  10. Medical/Dietary Requirements • We have taken information from school records but if there are any additional/important information we need to know re: Medical or dietary requirements please let us know as soon as possible.

  11. Communication • A text will be sent to all parent/carers when we arrive at Marchants Hill. • We will text midweek with an update. • We aim to return for 3.30pm • We will text to inform you if we will be late.
