Bayesian Decision • Provide all relevant probability and cost • Bayes Formula: P(ωj|x) = P(x|ωj) P(ωj) / P(x) (posteriori = likelihood×prior÷evidence) • Bayes Decision Rule: Decide ω1 if P(ω1|x) > P(ω2|x) , otherwise decide ω2

Hidden Markov Model • Useful for problems that have an inherent temporality • Markov Model: A set of states with transition probability
