  1. Christmas in Poland

  2. Christmas is very old festival. It starts on December 24th and lasts till December 26th. In Poland we buy and decorate the Christmas tree a few days before Christmas. A Christmas tree smells lovely! I decorate my Cgristmas tree with coloured lights, balls, angels and other decorations. I also put some sweets and fruit on my Christmas tree and big, golden star at the top of it.

  3. We send Christmas cards to family and friends and prepare special Christmas food. We buy presents for all we love! I love buying presents for my mum and dad and for my little sister!

  4. On Christmas Eve, December 24th, we have Christmas supper. We start supper when the first star appears in the sky. We stand around a Christmas table and share a wafer with the whole family wishing each other Merry Christmas. Then we sit at a table and eat. Our traditional meal is carp, poppy seed cake and other special Christmas food.

  5. We open our presents on Christmas Eve, just after supper. My father dresses as Father Christmas and he gives our presents away from under the Christmas tree. I always get nice presents from my family. We sing carols and have fun. At midnight we go to church to celebrate the birth of Jesus.

  6. December 25th and 26th are Christmas Days. We have a big family dinner, visit family and friends and relax. If the weather is nice, wego for a long walks and play in the snow.

  7. I like Christmas because all the family is together. My mum and dad don't rush to work and I don't go to school. I like getting Christmas presents and I like Christmas food.
