  4. METHODS • Acute scrotal exploration at LTH NHS Trust • April 2009-September 2011 (29 months) • Retrospective review • Notes, Electronic system, Theatre Logbook • Statistics (SPSS Version 19.0.0), p<0.05 • Pearson Chi-Square Test: categorical variables • Independent samples t-test: means

  6. RESULTS UNILATERAL FIXATION -Dense adhesion -Previous bilateral fixation • Out of hours: 5 • Hospital hours: 2

  7. MAIN POINTS 1. Consultants operate faster than trainees (p<0.05) 2. Fixation of patients with no torsion • 30 fixation > 17 torsion • normal testis, intermittent torsion, infection 3. Unilateral Fixation
