Art Department Requirements • All CHS students are required to take 1 credit (2 semesters) of Fine Art - Visual Art or Music. • All Art classes, except AP Studio Art, are one semester classes, earning ½ credit per class. • Learn, Think, Act, Create!/ Art 1 is a prerequisite • for all other art courses. • After LTAC/ Art 1, Freshmen may take Mad Mark-Making(Drawing), Clay Arts, The Laker Brush-off(Painting), and Exploring the 3rd Dimension(Sculpture).

Health Requirements One semester class is required. Students may elect to take Food! From Soil to Stomach as an elective. Student can choose either Human Ecology or Life 101 Both of these courses meet the graduation requirement. Human Ecology is designed for grades 9 & 10. Life 101 is designed for grades 11 & 12. Food! From Soil to Stomach is designed for grades 9-12 and is an elective credit.

World Language Requirements • There is NO language graduation requirement at CHS. • All students are encouraged to enroll in a language. • College bound students should plan to take a minimum of two years of a language. • Competitive colleges are looking for three to four consecutive years.
World Language Offerings • French I through French IV • Spanish I through Spanish IV • Level V is not offered annually in either language. It will be offered as enrollment and staffing allow.
