  2. Students Working To Advance Technology • The Swat Team consists of 19 members. All members are either in 5th or 6th grade. In Swat Team there are five main jobs: Tech Troopers, Internet Researchers, Computer Buddies, Web page builders and Public Relations.

  4. We help other students with computers. To improve our knowledge and help with technology. To help people with computers. To help students and teachers with technology. Why do students want to be on SWAT?

  5. The Ways SWAT Helps • It helps students use technology to assist with projects. • It saves time for teachers.

  6. Tech Troopers • Tech troopers help ease the life of a teacher. • Cleaning computers is just one more thing to make a day of teaching busier. • Tech troopers do the job for the teachers.

  7. Tech Troopers * Tech Troopers have a hard job of cleaning all the computers in the assigned classrooms.

  8. Internet Researchers • The Internet researchers look for certain topics that teachers give them to look up information for their class. They go on Netscape and look for the topic that is right for their certain grade.

  9. Computer Buddies • The Computer Buddies go out to classes to help children learn new programs and games. Sometimes they even get children to come into the computer lab. I think they are really good helpers.

  10. Power Point Tutors • Power Point tutors help students learn the uses of Power Point and help them remember what they learned. • Power Point tutors have tons of patience. They have to explain all details carefully to the children.

  11. Web Page Builders • The SWAT has started working on making web pages for the teachers. We are using eChalk. The SWAT site for Orange Grove is still under construction.

  12. Public Relations • SWAT team members make posters for upcoming events at OG using MS Publisher.
