FLOWCHART FOR DEGREE SEEKING STUDENTS Step Eight: The student applies for graduation by the following dates: March 10 Spring Semester -; June 10- Summer Session; October 10- Fall Semester Step One: Student submits application to Graduate Schoolfor admission to degree program Step Four: The Department assigns a faculty advisor Step Five: Student meets with adviser for pre-program planning and obtains specific departmental degree requirements Step Nine: The student completes course work. Step Two: Student completes departmental admission requirements, if applicable Step Ten: The student completes culminating project as indicated on degree plan: EIS 584 Action Researchor EIS 601 Thesis. Step Six: Student files a Graduate Degree Plan at the departmental level after completion of 9 semester hours and prior to completion of 15 semester hours of course work Step Three: Student receives a acceptance/denial letter regarding admission from the Graduate School All course revalidations, final grades, verifications of thesis completion, official transcript for transfer work are complete and in Graduate School by the last day f the student’s final semester. Step Seven: Student receives approval of Graduate Degree Plan from the Graduate School Yes
