Correspondence Sent: Mo 22.07.2013, 13:54 Dear Claudia and Hichem,I hopeyou are well. We have finished the tagging of youngstorks and nowwaitimpatiently for them to starttheir migration. The tagging in Spain and Russiawentverywell. Unfortunately, we are losing the first birdsalready. Someyoungstersdon't survive their first trips.I amalsoconcerned about one of yourbirds (DER AP806, tag 2758). It has left the nest for the first time on the morning of July 19, but it has not returned to the nestsincethen and it moves almostnothing. It isveryunusual for a youngbird to not move around and to not return to the nest. Although I am not entirely sure, I assume thatsomething has happened to it. It's last location is Latitude 37.017 and Longitude 9.882. You canalsoseeitverywell in MoveBank. Do youthinkyoucouldask people from the farm to look for the stork, or maybeyou'llfindsome time yourself to go there. This wouldbeveryhelpful. If youfind the stork, itwouldbenice if youcouldtake a picture, or try to find out whyitdied.Thankyouverymuch in advance! All the best,Andrea
