  6. Herod friend of Rome Herod was an Edomite (decendant of Esau) and not a Jew. He was from the family line of Isaac. He pretended to be a Jew. Murdered his wife and her family his trusted friends his barber his own sons The three wise men visit Herod

  7. Born from Mary Jesus’ father was God He did not have an earthy father

  8. Jesus is Born Born from the line of David Born in Bethlehem Father and Mother both in the family tree of David

  9. Flee to Egypt Until it is safe to return

  10. Herod Dies 4BC Jesus moves back to Israel

  11. John the Baptist John the Baptist declares that the Messiah is coming Jesus is Baptised and the Holy Spirit descends on Him

  12. Jesus begins his ministry 30 years old Luke 4:18-19 "The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord's favour."

  13. Jewish Leaders Hate Jesus He accused the Jewish leaders of blocking peoples way to God. He didn’t obey the rules that the Jewish leaders wanted him to follow. The people loved Jesus and said he was the Messiah.

Jesus was sacrificed John 3 : 16 16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.
