  3. Epistomology Narrative knowledge “ is concerned with the explication of human interactions in the context of action (Bruner, p.100 cited in ….pg. 823) Narrative inquiry –captures and investigates experiences as human beings live them in time, in space, in person, and in relationship.

  4. Simply Stated…(but really not so simple) Narrative Inquiry-concerned with individuals in social situations, “walking into the midst of stories” (Clandinin and Connelly, 2000….),everyday life “constitutes an interpreted reality” (Greene, 1978) Temporal, the spatial and personal-social

  5. But…is this RESEARCH? The question with validity. Trustworthiness-credibility, transferability, dependability, conformability (Lincoln & Guba, 1985) Transactional Validity-interactive between the researcher, the researched and the collected data Member checking* Bracketing Triangulation Transformational validity-progressive, emancipatory process leading toward social change Crystallization
