Writing complete sentences with the word “Hay…” • “Hay” means “There is” or “There are.” • “Hay” is pronounced like “I” • For example, “Hay dos sillas.” means “There are two chairs.”

You will see in the classroom picture a flag underneath the clock, along with----la bandera /el reloj. You will then put it together with the word “está.” So, the correct answer would be….”La banderaestádebajo del reloj.” “The flag is underneath the clock.”
