Current Challenges • Diverse community, very heterogenous datasets, different speeds and capacity to manage data • eLTER 2020 implementing OGC Sensor Observation Services to address a subset of scientific use cases. • Without a solution, valuable data is not disseminated and reused and european scale Scientific challenges are not tackled.
Why EUDAT? • What led you to being interested in EUDAT services? Data management problems are common across multiples communities. EUDAT can provide some common solutions. eLTER is already one of the user communities and looking to implement some core services (e.g. b2share intergration with our Metadata portal DEIMS, see ChristophWohner). • Using EUDAT services provides a wider community of experts to address own data management challenges
The expected future impact • Linked data’s technology is domain agnostic and will apply to other communities. Scientific problems work across multiple communities. Implementing solutions that interoperate across communities is important. • How can EUDAT further support you in solving the problem/s you may envisage in the future? Continued engagement with the community and joint projects.
