  2. Plot • The genre of this five minute script, is a Crime drama. Within this drama, there is an unfortunate occurrence within a family in which there has been a death in the family. The script will contain a character that is a detective who is investigating this case. This case is very significant to the detective due to the fact that his father was murdered in the same fashion. In which he takes this case personal and believes that he can finally identify the person that killed his father.

  4. Characters • For this drama, there will be three characters. The main character out of the three, is Detective Michael Smith. Smith, is a cunning detective who was influenced by the job role due to his fathers unsolved murder case. There will also be a younger version of the detective for a scene that would show the death of his father. The second character, is the detectives partner Amanda. Amanda comes from a wealthy background and is well spoke. She is usually the good cop within the pair and is more assertiveFinal character, is a character that is involved within the final act of the drama as he mysteriously enters the room once the detective had left the crime scene. There isn’t much information on this character as his introduction and exit will be judged by the audience on who he is.

  5. Budget • There will not be a huge budget within this production due to the casualty of the clothing and plus there will not be plenty of props that will have to be purchased as majority of it will be household items. The only few expenses that will be required, is the petrol money for the cars when traveling or the bus passes that will be bought. Also, some magazines will be purchased to make a ransom letter for one of the scenes in Act Two.

  6. EQUIPMENT • The equipment that will be used, is a Canon 600D DSLR, a tripod and finally a light bar. The camera is a quality camera which will help give the production value of this drama. The tripod , is for scenes that are needed to be filmed with a stationary camera and will be used to hold it up. And the lighting will be used to

  7. Camera Shots • Most camera shots of this production will be close ups. The reason for this, is that this is a thriller and the emotions of the characters will enhance the visuals and feeling of the drama. Also there are a few scenes which require close ups due to the flashback scenes which will have the camera slowly zoom in, on the face of Detective Smith.

  8. Location • The location of the drama production will be held at a house. The house is still not yet decided as it can be filmed at my house or the houses of the actors. The reason to why the drama production will be filmed at a house, is that both murders of this production had taken places in house.

  9. Music • There isn't a specific soundtrack that I will be using but ill be adding plenty of dramatic music in the background in specific scenes just to give the visuals more drama. Most of the dramatic music will be found in post as it will take time to match the perfect tempo of the dramatic music with the specific scene.

  10. Target Audience & genre • The target audience are middle class young adults who will enjoy the drama due to the tone of address as it will be very formal and the audience who are middle class tend to be working in a high salary job due to having an education. By having an education you would gravitate to content that is within mature, formal content. The genre of this drama, will be a Mystery/Thriller. With this genre it will attract more of a younger audience who are dominantly male. The reasoning for this, can be found within the results that I had allocated from my questionnaire as predominantly the male gender responded much better than the females to the plot of this drama.
