  3. Admissions Timeline- September • Place yourself on a mailing list • Sign up for SAT/ACT test dates • Attend open house at selected colleges. • Attend your local college fair(s) • Check with your counseling office to make sure transcripts are current • Begin letters of recommendation process

  4. October/November/December • Have SAT/ACT scores sent to college(s) to which you have applied (Do this when you register too). • Begin sending applications • Know Early Action/Decision deadlines • Check for January deadlines • Request 1st semester grades • Start FAFSA application: https://fafsa.gov • Free Application for Federal Student Aid • Request recommendation letters. Give recommender at LEAST two full weeks.

  5. January/February/March • All applications should be completed (Many have earlier deadlines) • Student Aid Report (SAR) • Send mid-year grades • Research/apply for local scholarships!

  6. April/May/June • National Deposit Deadline • Notify schools • Final transcripts sent • Return loan applications • Inquire about up coming dates • Contact roommates
