Our Program’s History • The EMU CP first sought accreditation as a Coordinated Undergraduate Program in General Dietetics from the American Dietetic Association in 1974 • EMU was the first CP in the country to offer a fully distance-online program, in 2003.
Accolades and Information • Our Program has been highly nationally ranked • The pass rate on the RDN examination is high for our graduates and the number of graduates employed shortly after completion of our program is notable as well

What is the typical program of study for an EMU Dietetics Program student?
This is a Full Time Endeavor It is not possible to hold a full time job once you begin the program.
This is a marathon, not a sprint!If you need prerequisite courses, this will likely be a 3-4 year process toward graduation. • Pre-application • courses due by January 2 of application year. • Cumulative GPA needs to be 2.75 (unless Prereq GPA 3.5 ) • Prereq GPA is required to be 3.0 or higher to apply • Those admitted typically average around 3-4-3.5 prerequisite GPA • See “Prerequisite Course List and Guidelines” Page” and • “Program of Study” pages for UG and GR • Within Dietetics Information Packet Sample schedule CP YEAR ONE CP YEAR TWO
Prerequisites Prereuisite courses not taken at EMU need to be pre-approved or assessed for equivalency, through initial admission transcript review and through your EMU-assigned advisor
Distance-online students must do their 1200 hours outside of the red circle Additional information is available in the Dietetics Info Packet and the Application-Online
