Driving Forces To Build A Critical Care Orientation • Old Model for education was not practical • Desire to train new graduate nurses to the ICU • Desire to develop a consistent method to assess nurses theory knowledge and ability to apply skills • Need to have a record of training
Putting It Together • Department need to develop a consistent orientation program • Use of the Healthstream Learning platform • Collaborate with the HLC Developer/Educator to develop a framework for the orientation • Wanted to infuse deliberate practice into the curriculum
