What I Dig? • I love chess, basketball and music. • Chess has 32 pieces to play • 2 rooks, 2 knights, 2 bishops, 8 pawns a queen and a king for both white and black • There are 64 squares alternating between black and white • The rooks mover horizontally and vertically • The knights move in a L shape and are the only piece that can hop over other pieces • The bishops move diagonally one for the white squares and one for dark squares • The pawns can move twice at the first but after that only one square at a time. It moves diagonally to capture pieces though. • The queen can move any direction any amount of squares at a time. • The king can only move one square at a time but any direction. • The goal in chess is to protect your king and checkmate your opponents king • Can you dig it?
