  2. Who Needs a NDE Staff ID? • Staff Reporting for 2011-2012 • Staff Demographics, Staff Position Assignments, etc. • Certified Staff • Non-Certified Staff • Substitute Teachers (CDC Collection) • *Any additional reporting that was SSN based may use NDE Staff ID instead, starting in 2011-2012

  3. Staff IDs Assigned • NDE Certificate holders • Administrative, Teaching, Special Services, etc. • Staff previously reported in NSSRS • For 2010-2011 and prior • Substitute Teachers (CDC Collection) • From 2006-2007 through 2010-2011*

  4. How do I find a Staff ID? • NDE Staff ID Download • Download a list containing SSNs and Staff IDs (and names) • NDE Staff ID • Staff Search (individual) • By name, date of birth, gender, • By SSN • By Staff ID • Batch Process (multiple) • Upload a CSV/TAB/TXT • Find IDs already assigned • Download a file containing Staff ID

  5. Reasons to Assign Staff ID • New Staff only • 1. Need to be reported to NDE in Staff Reporting • 2. New in Nebraska • 3. Have not yet obtained NDE certification OR NDE certification not needed for the position (i.e. Instructional Paraprofessionals)

  6. Similar to Student Uniq-ID? • 10-digit number • Staff does not need to be reported every year for Staff ID • Assigned one time (not district dependent) • Staff ID is not the same number as Student ID • unique/separate
