  1. HAITI EARTHQUAKE RELIEF FUNDA DONOR ADVISED FUND • AN ALTERNATIVE GRANT PROCESS

What is the Haiti DAF? • A “Restricted Fund” of The Rotary Foundation • Established to streamline the flow of contributions from Rotarians looking to assist victims of the earthquake in Haiti. • Donations will be received from around the world • Funds will be used in the relief effort and for projects providing longer-term support and development in Haiti. • The account holders will work with local Rotary clubs and districts, emergency relief agencies, and the District 7020 Governor to meet the most pressing needs of people in affected areas. This group of decision makers will also be known as the “Task Force”.

  3. The Priorities for Haiti Earthquake Relief Fund: • 1. Schools and Children • 2. Prosthetics • 3. Sustainable Housing • * Other projects to assist earthquake victims will be considered

  4. Criteria • Haitian clubs will be involved when possible. The Task Force may also assist in choosing a club if necessary. • A host/partner relationship is encouraged. • Grant amounts-Minimum $5K, maximum $100K. • Matching funds are favorable, however are not a necessity. For clubs with no treasury. • An association with an established on-site, non-profit organization with a valid tax ID number is needed • Project can be phased; partners can be added • E-mail signatures accepted. • Stewardship & expenditure reports required. Tracking. • Simplified one page application
