  3. Objectives # After this lesson students can identify the nouns. #Students can sort out the nouns, Example-man(Common noun),Kawser (Proper noun) Etc.

  4. What is Noun? Noun: Noun is a naming word. Example: TT Lion Table Tree Map Tiger

  6. Classification of Noun There are six kinds of noun– 1. Common Noun 2. Proper Noun 3. Abstract Noun 4. Collective Noun 5. Material Noun 6. Compound Noun

  7. Description 1. Common Noun: A noun which is used for all things or persons of same kinds are called common noun. Example Bird, Sea, Ocean, Bag, girl

  8. 2. Proper noun: A proper noun is name of a particular thing or person. Example Pacific ocean, Mount Everest, TajMahal.

  9. 3. Collective Noun:A collective noun is the name of group of things or persons of same kind. Example A group of girls, a school of fish, a flock of sheep.

  10. 4. Abstract Noun: An Abstract noun is a name of thing which cannot see or touch. Example Kindness, bravery, softness.

  11. 5. Material Noun:A material noun is a name of thing which can touch and see. Example iron, stone, silver, gold.

  12. There are two types of material noun Material noun Countable Uncountable

  13. 1. Countable Noun:Countable noun is a name of thing which we can count. Example book, glass, pencil etc.

  14. 2. Uncountable noun:Uncountable noun is a name of thing which we cannot count . Example Rice, Sugar, Water,

  15. 6. Compound Noun:Compound noun is a name which is made up of more than one word. Example • News+ paper = newspaper • Arm+chair = Arm chair • Mother +in +law = Mother-in-law

  16. Group work I will divided the whole class into four group and ask them to write ten names of proper noun and common noun in their CW exercise book.

  17. Evaluation I will asked the students the definition of noun,proper noun, common noun with example.

  18. Learn the definition of Noun, Common noun, Proper noun

  19. Message Practice makes a person perfect.
